Delete your account and data
Last updated 30 September 2026
You can delete your Wimmo account here, by signing in with the same Google account you use in the app — you do not need the app for this. Or do it from the app, if you still have it.
Delete it here
Deleting from this page is not switched on yet. Use the app, or write to us — see if you cannot sign in below.
Sign in with the Google account you use in Wimmo. We use the sign-in only to find your account, and we ask you once more before anything is deleted.
You are signed in. Delete your account now?
This removes your account and everything stored under it on our server. It cannot be undone. What is on the list below goes; what is under “What stays” stays.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. You do not have to cancel first — if you want it to stop, manage it in Google Play, before or after.
Signing you in…
Deleting your account. This can take a few seconds.
Your account is deleted.
Your account, your sign-in record and everything stored under the account on our server are gone: your tasks, their statuses and notes, the smaller steps you kept, your sessions, plans and steps, and the record of your app opens. Your customer record at RevenueCat, which handles purchases for us, is deleted too.
What stays is the small usage marker described under “What stays” below — two numbers and a one-way code, no content. It is removed 6 months from today, and backups can hold it for up to 7 days more.
This did not cancel a subscription. If you have one and want it to stop, cancel it in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, or go to your Google Play subscriptions.
This page cannot reach your phone. If Wimmo is still installed, what is on the phone stays there until you delete the app.
Signing in did not finish, so nothing was deleted. You can try again.
That sign-in could not be matched to this page, so nothing was deleted. Start again from the button.
This browser is blocking something the sign-in needs — private browsing can do this. Try another browser, or use the app.
Your sign-in has run out. Sign in again to carry on; nothing is lost by doing that.
Deleting has not finished yet, so your account is not fully deleted. Whatever is already deleted stays deleted, and trying again carries on from where it stopped — now, or later by signing in here again with the same Google account.
In the app
Open Wimmo and go to Account. There are two choices:
- Delete my history removes your tasks, notes, steps, sessions and plans — from our server and from the phone — and the unsaved drafts on the phone. Your account and your break timers stay, and so do its count of free sessions and free uses and the records used to count them, so deleting history does not hand those back.
- Delete my account does all of that, then deletes the account itself and signs you out. It is the same as the button above.
What gets deleted with your account
- Your tasks — the words, their status (Done, Half, No), any note you left, and any smaller first step you kept.
- Your sessions — when they ran, how long you chose, how long they lasted, how they ended, and your answer at the end.
- Your plans and steps — the task each plan was for and the steps it became.
- Your app opens — which of four things met you when you opened the app, and whether a session followed.
- Your counting records — when each session started, whether it counted, the plans the AI delivered, and the daily “used the app” markers. None of these hold anything you wrote.
- Your purchase record at RevenueCat — the customer record RevenueCat keeps for us under your random account number, with its purchase history. Google Play keeps its own record of what you bought. Deleting only your history never touches this.
- Your account — your sign-in record with Amazon Cognito, and the link between it and your data.
Nothing is reported as deleted until every one of these is. If a part cannot be deleted straight away — for example RevenueCat cannot be reached — our server keeps a note of what is left, under your random account number and the one-way code described under “What stays”, until it is done, and then removes the note. You can carry on later, even after your sign-in has already been deleted, by signing in again with the same Google account here or in the app.
Our backups keep a copy for up to 7 days, and then that goes too. For 2 days after the deletion our server keeps a note that your sign-in was deleted — the sign-in's identifier and the time, with no account number and no content — so a sign-in still open on another phone cannot bring the account back.
What stays, and why
One small record stays for 6 months, and it is fair that you know why. Without it, deleting an account and signing up again with the same Google account would hand back the free sessions and the free “Clear your head” use, over and over.
The record holds three things: a one-way code made from your Google account's identifier with a secret key only our server has, how many free sessions you used (0 to 3), and whether you used the free “Clear your head”. That is all — no tasks, no text, no email address, no name, no device identifier, no dates of use.
It is pseudonymous, not anonymous: if you sign in again with the same Google account within 6 months, our server recognises the code and carries those two numbers over, once. That is the only thing it is used for. After 6 months it is removed — the deletion itself can take a few days — and backups can hold it for up to 7 days more.
If you ever used Wimmo on a phone before signing in, that phone also has a record: a one-way code made from an identifier the phone already has — never the identifier itself — whether the free session and the free “Clear your head” were used on it, and when the app was first and last used there. Deleting your account removes its link to you. The record itself is removed 6 months after the app was last used on that phone.
If you cannot sign in
We do not keep your email address, so an email from you cannot tell us which account is yours. Signing in with the Google account you used is the only way we can find it, and it works without the app.
If you no longer have that Google account, or the sign-in does not work for you, write to contact@nexarapps.com with Delete my Wimmo account in the subject line. We will reply and tell you plainly what we can find and what we can do. We will not delete an account we cannot match to you.
If you never signed in, nothing is stored under an account, and none of your tasks or sessions are on our server. What our server has is the phone's record described above, removed 6 months after the app was last used on that phone, and the counting records for that phone's sessions — times and yes-or-no flags, nothing you wrote — each removed 6 months after it was made. We cannot look these up from a request, because they can only be matched with a code made on the phone itself.
This does not cancel a subscription
A Wimmo subscription is held by Google Play, not by us, so deleting your account does not stop it: it keeps renewing until you cancel it where it lives — in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, or at your Google Play subscriptions. You do not have to cancel before deleting your account; you can delete it either way, and cancel before or after.
